WCCILproxy Executable to many threads

Post by johanningmann »

Hi,
we facing from time to time that the visu slows down. We using a desktop UI to connect to the visu.
The root cause as far as I can trace is that the amount of threads increase to an unormal level. See pic. this cause a higher CPU usage and the system behaviour slows down. If I then restart the machine the behaviour is back to normal.

Do you have any explanation why this happens?

Server: Windows 2012R2
WinCC OA: 3.15 P007

I guess that something went wrong, because I do not see the mentioned picture.

How many clients are connected to this server?

The WCCILproxy is just a gateway which encrypts messages.
We have never seen that the Proxy Manager is slowing down the system and/or the communication.
As there are still the screenshots missing we cannot see the number of threads and/or the CPU usage of the WinCC OA processes.

If the clients are running in the same network (where you do not need increased security be encrypted messages) you can probably deactivate the Proxy Manager and check afterwards if the problem still occurs.

You can also get in contact with your common WinCC OA support to get help to solve the problem.
