V3.15 P008 Configured dollar parameters disappear
Postby chris@blue-catalyst.co.uk »
Hi,
I've installed v3.15 Patch 008.
I have opened a configured panel made adjustments, saved and noticed that where I have previously configured dollar parameters some have now disappeared.
As the files were created with an older version I though I would try creating a object with parameters using the new patch.
I created a basic rectangle with 2x dollar parameters simply getting set into a string. Placed this onto panel, set the parameters up, saved the panel and they've gone.

Hi Leopold,
We use XML format panels.
The machine I used has Windows 7 enterprise. Patch 008 was installed over existing patch 006 installation. The machine was restarted following installation. I haven’t tried it on other machines.

Leopold,
Maybe this will help.
I initially spotted this problem as I opened a library panel, which was created using patch 6, containing an object with two dollar parameters.
After I upgraded, I opened the panel, moved the object by a pixel, selected save and watched as the configured dollar parameters disappear out of the properties.

Hi Chris,
I got the same problem in one of my actual project.
Meanwhile I could reproduce it and provided the necessary panels to the support team.
I could limit the problem which is in a contex to the Scope-Lib (in my case).
In a test case the following negative use-case appeared by using "reference in reference" where the $-parameters disappeared:
panel B uses reference A
- changes were made in reference A and panel A was saved
- insert of new object (graphic) in panel B and save panel B
- the parameterized $parameters of reference A are not available in panel B anymore
Therefore I use the following workaround for safetey:
For GEDI-engeniering issues I use WinCC OA UI - Binary from patch 007.
As environment for runtime I use P008 because in this patch another bug was solved which I need.
