Multiple opc server

Good day ,

Is there exist a limitation for number of clients to be connected to one OPC manager. If yes , can I use multiple OPC managers on the same server .

In WinCC OA you can use OPC DA, OPC A&E and OPC UA.
Which one do you want to use?
Do you want to start a WinCC OA OPC server (connecting to 3rd party clients) or client (connecting to 3rd party servers)?

Hi ,

Maybe we are going to use OPC DA (haven't taken the decision yet ) . We will be a client connecting to servers but we will need to monitor and send commands also .

One WinCC OA OPC DA client can make a connection up to 20 OPC DA servers (as described in the WinCC OA documentation).
Items which are defined as writeable in the 3rd party OPC DA server can be set by the WinCC OA system if an output address is defined.
