Editing UTF8 texts with Excel

Post by nmnogueira »

Does anybody know how to edit DP texts in UTF8 with the MaPara Excel plugin?
I'm having a problem editing Cyrilic texts with Excel.

Thanks

Can you please gives us more details for the problem you have faced.
The MaPara Excel plug in is loading an ASCII file and is displaying the information. When importing data to WinCC OA a ASCII file is generated.

Please check the print screens in attachment. The texts in the ASCII files are display correctly in Notepad++ (detected as UTF8), but in Excel the text appears as gibberish. https://www.winccoa.com/fileadmin/image ... shot_2.jpg Image

This seems to be a problem with the way MaPara tool uses to read data from the ASCII file. The VBA function used does not support UTF-8 encoding
