Good day all ,
Thank you for the support and frequent follow up. My question is about server selection , is there any document that describes how to select a server depending on values changes per second , graphics animations , scripting , etc . If there is no document , I want you if possible to share your experience especially about it is possible to use multi core processor or needed to use single core high power server as silver Tech one.
Regards

Re: Server selection
In the WinCC OA Documentation you will find hardware recommandations for different type of servers (single system, redundant system, ...).
It is possible to use a multi core processer as WinCC OA is starting several processes for one project.
As there a lot of factors (project configuration single/redundant/distributed system, number of value changes / second, number of value changes stored in the archive, ...) which have an influence on the performance defining the required hardware is not a simple task.
In the past we have done benchmark tests (based on a consulting pool) for customers if the hardware specification defined by the customer was known.
If you want to get more information for such a benchmark test please get in contact with the ETM sales team.
