sorting datapoints in para

Post by IBRAHIMALALI »

Good day,

I want to ask if there is an organizational way to sort the data points in Para such that I have a hierarchy of devices . To explain more I have 7 ahus that contains nearly the same components they differ by one or two data points , is there a way not to make datapoint types for each one of them .

The datapoints are sorted in alphabetical order for every datapoint type.
Also the datapoint types are sorted in the same way.

In WinCC OA you have datapoint types. A datapoint type defines the structure of nodes and leafs, both of them are called elements.
A datapoint is an instance of a datapoint type. At the elements you have some predefined configs and you can add configs, e.g. _address.

Based on this information please describe again what you want to do.

If you want to build a logical structure you can maybe use the Plant Model Editor (CNS). For details please have a look at the WinCC OA documentation: Special functions --> Common Name Service.

I Think you didn't get me right , what I want is to make a folder to contain multiple data point types , to organize the para.

Hi,

The section Common Name Service from Special functions in help is quite enough imho. Afaik I dont think there is something else available. Maybe you can ask support for some demo project....
