How to define Dynamic Colour Name?

Post by Hana »

Hello,
I would like to ask what is the right set of steps to define new dynamic color?
I have created my library of our project colors and now I need to define also some dynamic colors which is not in the pre-defined list.

I selected the desired color, but am not able to transfer the new color to the flashing field.
The numbers (for the dynamic settings) are either gray out and if they are enabled, than the pen tool overwrite my settings with the pre-defined color.

Is it a bug or am I doing something wrong?

Thanks for advice !
Hana

Hello,

if you want to define an own dynamic color you have to select "Dynamic Arbitrary" at the color-selector.
Afterwards you have to define the color you want to use and drag&drop it from the small colored rectangle to the position in the blink sequence. With the combo-boxes you can define how the color shall be shown in the blink sequence.

Please notice that the ETM Portal does not substitute the common WinCC OA support.
To get detailled information about the WinCC OA support please have a look at

Thank you for your quick response!

Finally I defined the new flashing colors in my application!
I also found in the help how to define the dynamic color via the script setValue, but having the colors defined in library will suite better to our project needs.

Thanks!

Regards the Siemens support - I guess this portal is faster.
By the way we are already waiting one week for our project server licenses.
We contacted our Siemens support person last Tuesday, we also requested the licenses directly at license@etm.at (today), but so far without response :(

Hello,

your license request was already forwarded to our sales team for clarification which options shall be set.
When the clarification is done you'll get the licenses or further information.

For questions related to WinCC OA you should use the common WinCC OA support instead of the portal. ETM uses the worldwide Siemens Support as your first contact. After adding your service request into the support database the service request is forwarded to ETM and we always have a look at the issues forwarded to ETM.
For the common support there are analysis times defined, see the entry "Support & Services" --> "Customer Support" at our homepage.

At the portal we have a look time-by-time, therefore it can take several hours or days before an answer is posted by ETM.
