I am trying to create a demo video project on wincc 3.15 patch 5 with all components running on one machine connected to a two cameras via a network.
I would like to set up a display monitor on the same machine. As such I have created a Display Monitor object with a name matching MyControllerName in the config file AccVimaccDisplay2.
However, when I then view the object in the video object explorer I am unable to create any grids, no matter what I select the squares stay blank (light grey rather than dark grey.)
Additionally when I select the video workstation in the video system management it often remains blank (no display grids appear). This issue is solved once by restarting the project.
Does anyone have any ideas of how stop these two issues? Could they be related to licensing or is it just a bug?

Re: WinCC Video Add-on Display Monitor and Video Workstation Problems
I have resolved the first part of the question.
It is necessary to have the display running when you configure it. At least the first time.
For the second part I have f0ound it necessary to restart the GEDI in order to be able to start a functioning video workstation.
After closing the first video workstation instance and then attempting to open a second the black screens do not display.
