Redundancy with triple ethernet connection

Post by vedadramovic »

Hello,
we have an idea to use triple ethernet connection between redundant servers.
It is because rats quit often damages our optical cable communication.

Is there a way do define triple ethernet connection in WinCC_OA config files?

Best regards,
Vedad

No, in WinCC OA it is only possible to define a redundant network connection between the WinCC OA servers.

Is it not an option to increase the redundancy in your network? By making a ring network for example. Or do your rats only damages the connections between the WinCC OA servers?

BTW: This question (Redundancy with three NIC) was already asked and answered.

Hi Gertjan,
I have not found (Redundancy with three NIC) discussion, before you mentioned it.
There, everything is very well explained.
Thank you very much.
