How to auto-start WinCC/OA and application w/o user intervention.
Postby tgdannemiller »
I want WinCC/OA to automatically startup and run my project when the computer starts up, with no operator intervention. There are two parts to this, and I've not been able to solve either one so far:
How to get WinCC/OA to startup and run the project without having to use the administrator panel.
How to get WinCC/OA to use the username and password in the config file (or on the UI command line) and automatically login and start the project without the login screen appearing.
It was suggested that single signon could be used to achieve the second point, but that requires using the Windows user accounts as WinCC/OA users as well, and that doesn't work well for my application because the network will have no active directory; there is only a single-PC logon.
Does anyone know how to accomplish this? Any ideas would be appreciated.

When configuring WinCC OA as Windows service the project is startet automatically when Windows startst.
How to configure it is described in the WinCC OA online help:
Installation --> Windows --> WinCC OA as service.
Defining the username and password in the config file or UI startup parameters is not the best idea when thinking about security because everybody can seen then the user information in plain text.
If no login screen shall be shown you can open another panel instead of the login panel, e.g. the base panel for the panel topology. There is no need to logon then.
