Missing variables S7+ Symbolic address

Post by Romero »

I have done a connection to a S7-1200 device with the S7+ Driver, then i have created a 'clone' of the TIA Project variables within a DP, same structure, with the equivalent datatype, etc...
After that, i added the _address config for all the DPE's and its working fine except for two of them all. When i get to the S7+ symbolic address panel, where the exported project from TIA Portal is shown, i miss these 2 variables.

Image

Left - S7+ symbolic from WinCC OA//Right - TIA Portal
(I know it is an English forum so please ignore the name before the _C*number*, they are meant to be grouped as 8)

Notice that in the first case i am losing the 'xxxxxxx_C4' variable, meanwhile in the next one i am losing the 'xxxxxxx_C7' variable.*Couldn't upload both cases because of the size*
However, they actually are on the TIA Project. I am not sure if they would work if i just write the reference myself.
These 2 variables are just identical to the others around them, same type, configuration, visible on the hmi and everything.

I tried to export the project a couple of times, modifying those variables, creating them again but i get the same result.

I think it is a bug and i wanted to know if it happened to someone else or there is something truly evident i am not doing right.

Thank you for your time.
Agustín Romero.

Hello Mr. Romero! We do not see any reason for why single variables should not show up, having the same data type and HMI attributes set in TIA Portal.

You may also want to try a complete read out of the exported TIA Portal project. Go to the S7+ Connection panel and open tabpage "Engineering". Press button "Export" to receive a complete export of your TIA Portal project as seen by the S7+ driver. If you can find your variables there, you may simply write the address string manually in the address panel and the driver should recognize it correctly. Otherwise the variables did not get exported for some reason.

Please provide us with your TIA portal project archive (.zap14) or at least the exported data block (plus FB) to allow us some investigation.

Kind regards,
Daniel

Hello Daniel!

I thought it could work manually but i wasn't 100% sure. After exporting that way the TIA Project i observed the variables were there so i will keep introducing those which are not showing up manually.
It seems to be just a visual bug or something.

Thank you for the accuracy of your answer!

Best regards,
Agustín Romero.

Good to hear that at least the driver works correctly. Maybe you could send us the TIA Project export .zip file anyway for some analysis. If you cannot upload it to the forum, you may send it to our support or consultant colleagues and refer to my person and the forum entry.

Best,
Daniel Hoegerl
