ActiveX control for testing

Post by Kamil »

Hello,

I am looking for a some ActiveX control for testing in WinCC OA. In default plugins I have got only Windows Media Player, which work. It can be simple program. It should be .ocx file I think, but I am not sure. Does anyone have or know where I find it.

Thank you!

When choosing the option to insert an ActiveX in a WinCC OA panel a dialog is opened which shows the installed ActiveX components on your machine.
What is the purpose of the test?

Do you want to create your own ActiveX based on your own source code?
In that case we prefer to create an EWO (External Widget Object) based on QT. How to create an EWO is described in the WinCC OA documentation.

I installed some ActiveX, which I want to use, but I can't see it in WinCC OA panel. (It is panel to move camera and watch streaming video). I see it in CLSID in registry and it is active. I want to check another ActiveX to see what is going on.

WinCC OA is a 64bit application: Therefore you need to have a 64bit ActiveX element and also those are shown in the list of registered ActiveX elements.
