I was exporting a dictionary using the translator tool in WinCC OA V15.
The result is dictionary_unicode.txt. This file I modified with Excel.
Now I want to import the dictionary. I selected the Languages in the same order as for the export.
After that I get the message that the dictionary is now imported.
But the changes I made in Excel are not applied in the panel I translated. For the dictionary I used Unicode as it is recommended in the online help.
Why are the translations not applied in the textboxes of my panel?

Re: Tools-Translator: Export dictionary to Excel and import the changed dictionary
Dear Mr. Fischer,
related to translator-tool there are already "known issues" existing.
Is there a special reason to convert characters via excel?
--please delete the dictionaries manually.
[:\\WinCC_OA_Proj\\\\data\\trans]
--afterwards export included languages and their panels once again [coding: e.g Unicode].
--do not close translator-tool; use register dictionary function and translate all the relevant text - save.
--import the dictionary again - close translator-tool.
--reopen affected panel and it should be fine.
Which languages are used in your project? (ISO; UTF-8)
WinCC_OA 3.15 patch-level?
Which operating system is used?
If it is very urgent I would strongly recommend to open a fault report.
