Is there upper limitations for the host numbers of Modbus driver configuration

Post by maoyi8212 »

I tried to configure several hosts(each host stands for 1 modbus simulator) in a Modbus driver configuration, but I found that if I configured more than 2 hosts the data point could not receive any data.
If I configured 1 or 2 hosts, both data from host1 and host 2 can be received.
I tried to slow down the polling rate also because I guessed that maybe the data comes so frequently that WinCC OA can not handle, but the issue still exists.
So I want to clarify is there a upper limitation for the host number connections of modbus driver. Many thanks!

Note that the "list of hosts" is used to configure several ways of accessing the same PLC (i.e. redundant connections). Is this your intent?
If you want to connect to different slaves, you should create a new PLC by clicking the button "Create", and place the PLC address in the "list of hosts" for that PLC only.
