Dear Customer,
as mentioned in the announcement for the official release of WinCC OA 3.15 there have been some changes in the user interface for the new version.
Enclosed you'll find more detailed technical information.
In WinCC OA 3.15 the layout functions have been slightly modified and some of the available options have changed. Due to these modifications it might by necessary to change existing panels to get the same visual representation compared to previous versions.
After upgrading a project we recommend to make a visual comparison of the panels.
If differences are noticed when displaying panels using a layout in most instances it can be corrected by modifying the layout settings.
The following topics need to be taken into account:
Layout alignment
For the last object in a layout group the property "Layout Alignment" needs to be set to "AlignNone".
In case of a vertical layout the lowermost object of a layout group is the last object.
When using a horizontal layout the rightmost object of a layout group is the last object.
Transparent panel background
This information needs only be taken into account if the panels using a transparent background are loaded in an embedded module in your project.
When using panels with a transparent background the behaviour in WinCC OA 3.15 has slightly changed compared to previous versions due to changes in the QT functions.
If a panel of panel version < 14 with a transparent background is loaded in the graphical editor of WinCC OA 3.15 for the first time the transparent color (_Transparent) will be replaced by the system color "_3DFace".
To set the color back to transparent the panels needs to be modified in the graphical editor (GEDI).
After opening the panel the color "_Transparent" needs to be defined again for the background color of the panel. When saving the panel the information (panel version and background color) will be saved in the panel file.
Note: If a panel with panel version 14 with a transparent background color is loaded in a Vision module the transparent color will be displayed in black color. If the same panel needs to be displayed in an embedded module an in and own Vision module you need to save the panel with two different filenames.
One containing the background color "_Transparent" to be displayed in embedded modules and the other one with the background color "_3DFace" to be displayed in own Vision modules.
Property "Transformable" for a object of type "Text"
Since WinCC OA 3.15 a new property "Transformable" can be set for a graphical object of type "Text".
If the value for this attribute is "TRUE" the size of text changes if the size of the object is changed.
The value "FALSE" needs to be set if the text shall always have the same size.
If you have further technical questions concerning these topics please take part in the discussion and reply on this posting.
Best Regards
