How to use VLC ActiveX inside WINCC OA 3.14

Post by ubusto »

I have installed the VLC-2.2.4 64bits package in a enviroment with WinCCOA 3.14
When i look for the ActiveX it apperas with the name "VLC ActiveX Plugin and IE Web Plugin v2"
I put it on the panel and it displays:

Error
VideoLAN.VLCPlugin.2
could not be loaded

Could someone please tell me how to display an ip camera stream using VLC within WINCC OA 3.14

Maybe you can use our WebView.ewo in combination with this: https://kanaka.github.io/noVNC/

Thx Martin,
I will check it out, but it seems i need to set up some kind of server, and what i need is to show directly the ip camera in a winccoa 3.14 panel.

Another possibility would be to create a new VNC ewo based on this Qt sources: https://bitbucket.org/amahta/qvncclient/src

Thx Martin,
So in your opinion it's not possible to stream directly using the VLC ActiveX?

Can't tell you what's wrong with your active x. Since I'm on Linux only, I can't test easily.

I've tested it and inserted the ActiveX into a panel.
There was no error reported.
