[EMERGENCY] about OPC HDA and DA I got a lot of error message.

In my situation is....

1. WinCC OA Version 3.14 P004
2. Redundant Server
3. run OPC HDA and OPC DA on the same Server ( Primary and Secondary Both )


I think that when opchda client or opcda client is tried to connect to server, wincc oa server run the server as a task number 1, and then another client tried to connect to server, the server run server as a task number 1,
the number is same. that is problem.
is it possible change the number ?

I will attached log file and screen capture..

Hello,

Search your registry for "WINCC_OA.OPC.1".

You will find the entry for the OPC server.

Then change to the matching LocalServer32 path and change the command line which starts the OPC server and add " -num 2" to the command line.

Without screenshots its hard to describe, but let me try again.

In regedit search for the key WinCC_OA.OPC.1, within the CLSIDs you will find the ProgId and in the same registry subfolder there is the element LocalServer32. This contains the command to be executed when the OPC server starts. Here the parameters, e.g. the project name or manager number, can be added.

In my system i find the registry key here (it may differ on your system):
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\\CLSID\\{7AF80BE2-E2EB-11d0-8289-0060971651C0}\\LocalServer32\\

The registry key has the following value on my system:
C:\\Siemens\\Automation\\WinCC_OA\\3.14\\bin\\WCCOAopcsrv.exe

Change it to:
C:\\Siemens\\Automation\\WinCC_OA\\3.14\\bin\\WCCOAopcsrv.exe -num 2

And you should be fine the next time the OPC server starts.

in my opinion, why don't you change setting it section from windows registry to wincc oa console.
