now I am testing opc server and client communication..
in the same machine server and client , it is connected.
but, another machine. it is not.
this is error message :
Unexpected state, OPCServer, initialize, CoCreateInstanceEx: could not connect to WINCC_OA.OPC.1 at 192.168.11.220
I did dcom setting . but I do now know it is correct. if you have dcom setting document. could you send me it?
and other thing I have question.
I will run OPC HDA and OPC DA at the same server .. is ii passible ?
between server and client , it has to same user id and password ?
if it is possible to connect even though different id and password, please let me know how to do ?

DCOM configuration can be found in the online help under:
Drivers -> OPC Data Access -> OPC client -> Initial setup of OPC communication -> DCOM settings for Remote Servers
WinCC OA Getting Started - Tutorial -> Hints & Trouble Shooting -> DCOM Configuration for OPC Client-Server Connection
And restart the machine after changing the DCOM configuration.

using different types of OPC communication at the same computer is possible.
Which username and password are you talking about?
For the WinCC OA OPC DA client and the WinCC OA OPC HDA server there is no need to define a specific username and password for the OPC communication.
