Hello,
as you probably know we have a “Log-Messages” section at the FAQs in our ETM portal.
At this section an explanation can be found for log-entries which refer to a problem/error at the application. Most of the explained log-messages have the priority SEVERE or FATAL.
The standard log-messages which are written during a normal startup for a project or PVSS/WinCC OA-process (priority INFO) are not explained.
Right now the content was extended with an explanation for a lot of log-messages.
Please have a look at the FAQ-section to get detailed information for log-entries found at the log-files for your PVSS/WinCC OA-project.
Here you have an example for an FAQ-entry:
=====================================
PVSS00event - SYS/SEVERE - Invalid license: License has expired
Enclosed you'll find the explanation for a log-message which can occur during the license check at startup of the project. The log-message is written to the PVSS_II.log-file.
Example for the log-message:
PVSS00event (0), 2011.10.05 15:19:56.179, SYS, SEVERE, 105, Invalid license, PVSS-server: License has expired
PVSS00event (0), 2011.10.05 15:19:56.195, SYS, INFO, 108, License information, Using license file D:\\PVSS\\versions\\3.10\\shield.txt
Log-message with symbolic names:
PVSS00event (0), , SYS, SEVERE, 105, Invalid license, : License has expired
PVSS00event (0), , SYS, INFO, 108, License information, Using license file \\shield.txt
This log-message describes that the installed license has expired (expire-keyword at the shield-file).
The project will do a shutdown after a demo period of 1800 seconds.
Please get in contact with the responsible contact/vendor for your PVSS/WinCC OA-installation for clarification and to get a new shield-file.

If an explanation cannot be found please get in contact with the ETM Support Team to get the requested information.

You could also post the log-message at this thread. We will then have a look at the log-message and add it to the FAQ-section if necessary.
This thread will not be used for the explanation of the log-messages, this will only be done at the FAQ-section.
