ASCII manager errors

Post by akim »

Hello,

This errors appear when I attempt to use the import by ASCII manager. What can be wrong?

Hello,

maybe you have imported some internal datapoints.
At the internal datapoints the information is stored that an alert fileset shall be removed and therefore the system tries to remove the fileset.

Please check which data you have imported and if it is necessary to import all the information.
If some information is not needed you can remove it from the file before doing the import or use filter settings at the ASCII export to get only required information written to the ASCII file.

You are not allowed to modify the _Event DPT, since it contains the licensing stuff.

Without knowing what you're importing, I can't say for sure.
Just guessing that you import some internal datapoint values, like _Managers.Exit which in turn would stop a manager ...
Try to remove all internal DPs and their values from your ASCII import file - you should not need them.

I just created a new project and export the whole database, then I tried to import it again.

In some of my older projects this does not happen. So I do not understand what was going on. I use v 3.12.

As said, you should not import the internal DPs. I can't say what has changed.

Hello,

in older projects the last value storage for the dp-element _Managers.Exit was not inactive. Therefore the last value which was set is stored in the database.
If the information is exported and imported again the _Manager.Exit dp-element will be set. Depending on the value which is set a WinCC OA manager will be restarted.

In your case the event manager will be restarted.
As Martin Koller has written please do not import the information for the _Managers.Exit dp-element to avoid the problem that the event manager is restarted.
