Time sync for redundant distributed system on Windows 7 with remote UI\'s

Back in 3.11 it was critical to setup NTP time synchronization on Windows systems using Remote UI's. Is this still the case for 3.14?

If so, where is the white paper that described how to do this on Windows?

Hello,

in a WinCC OA system normally it is recommended to use a time synchronization for servers and clients.
How to configure the time synchronization depends on the hardware/software you are using for the synchronization, e.g. a DCF clock.
For details please talk to your system adiministration.

Why do you think using a NTP time synchronization is critical?

There is no difference between WinCC OA 3.11 and 3.14.
If a user interface clients has a different time than the server, the UI can be started and can connect to the server.
If a command is set (using dpSet) at the client the time of the server is taken as source time. When using dpSetTimed() a manipulation of the time is not made.

I found the White Paper I was referring to. I attached it here. We were told to always setup time synchronization on systems with remote UI's. This seems like a reasonable requirement. I assume it is more critical for the redundant/distributed system that I am setting up now.
