Is it easy to implement SIMIT (Siemens simulation tool) software to simulate the controller level and the I/O level in WinCC OA?
Due to the fact that it's an ordinary S7 communication line, should be like integrating a S7-PLC, am I right?
Does anybody have experience with it?

Re: SIMIT Simulation
Yes, we use:
- An S7-410H PLC
- Simit
- Simba box
The simba box will simulate the filed I/O. Our PLc doesn't realise that it is talking to the simba box.
I'm not the simulation expert so I couldn't give you the details. I can only tell you that WinCc Oa is unaware of the simulation. The magic happens on the PLC side.
so from the WinCC OA point of view : yes it is easy (do nothing)
I know that we sometimes make OPC (client) items in WinCC OA to send a command to the simit software.
good luck
