IEC61850/61400 Engineering

Post by ChristofferG »

Hi forum

Is it possible to create the datapoint structure from a .cid file in the IEC61850/61400 engineering tool?

Or is it manual work?

Hi Leopold

I have been looking in the WinCC OA help and have figured out how to configure a IEC61850/61400 device, but i would like to "import" the data structure from the CID file to the Para.

Getting all datapoint types and datapoints created corresponding to the structure in the CID file.

I have a really exhaustive CID file describing the data structure of a system using IEC61400-25 and I would like to find a way of importing this into the Para besides doing it manual

Hello,

there is no predefined solution available to import the data structure defined in the CID file and to create corresponding dp-types and datapoints includiing their configs (e.g. _address). You have to define this function on your own.
As every project uses its own data structure there is no possibility to define a mapping which would fit all customers requirements.
