Hello,
Would it be possible to help me to configure a new internal archive.
We have 13000DP , potentially to archive. I would like to configure a new database to create one file per day (under VA_006 directory) .
I have do some tests, and I'm feeling that the database is structured as time slots. I mean, when
I do x changes on one DP, and x changes on other DP, if x+x>n where n is the max values per
DP, 2 files are created!
What would be the correct formula?
regards
Emmanuel

Re: How to configure the internal archive of WCCOA
A new archive file is made in the following cases:
1. Time
2. Size: for one of the elements there are more values archived than the max charge percentage (default: 95%) of the max number of values entries
In the statistics tab of the archive configuration you can check if an archive file change was caused by the max charge percentage (in that case the FS% column contains a value equal or bigger than the max charge).

Re: How to configure the internal archive of WCCOA
Hello,
if you want to archive 13000 DP-elements in one archive with a daily fileswitch you will not be able to write more than 3400 values for a single DP element per day.
The archive files are limited to 2GB per file and this limit is nearly reached when configuring the archive for 13000 DPEs and 3400 values.
If a higher number of value changes shall be saved you have to use several archives to save data for 13000 DPEs.
