Getting Started Tutorial

Post by mhargreaves »

I have started running through the Getting Started Tutorial for WinCC 3.13

I have just reached the Dynamism of Graphic Elements section, but it doesn't seem to match with what I am seeing in the graphic editor.

Is there a more up to date tutorial to follow?

The screen shots don't seem to match at all to the dialogs I am presented with.

I am muddling my way through and so far have failed to generate the 'Alarm' part of the pump symbol, but have moved on to the test panels.

When I try and do what i think is described in the tutorial for a right click panel open of dp_monitor, I get an error message "Syntax error while generating the script"

There is no screenshot here.
I quickly checked the screenshots in the german 3.13 documentation and I see nothing wrong.
The screenshots show the Para module where you can configure the alarm config. They did not change recently so the screenshots are still correct.

The problem seems to be that my system is using Script Wizard. If I change it to Simple Configuration, the dialogs are the same as in the help tutorial.

I could not seem to add a screenshot to the message even though it said I could.
