Hey, I have a question for you guys!
Our version of WinCC OA is 3.13.
We're trying to take a spreadsheet with loads of periphery addresses from a PLC and put them into an ascii file for importing into the para. We have a datapoint type, several datapoints, and a master datapoint configured with a powerconfig for periphery addresses.
We set up one of the addresses in a powerconfig just for testing which grabs seconds from the PLC and exported that DP type (format 4) to the ascii file. We then went into the ascii file via Microsoft Excel and modified the periphery address to the bit address that loads minutes from the PLC rather than seconds. After saving, we went back into the ascii manager, clicked "Import", and selected our file, expecting the periphery address to change when we went back and looked in the para at the address.
Alas, nothing changed, and the DPE was still happily reading the seconds from the PLC. I right clicked to check the powerconfig, and the address was still set to seconds. Restarting the project didn't help, either. I'm kind of at a loss as to what could have gone wrong..
