Hi,
Recently have experienced very frequent system crash from my redundant Wincc OA 3.10 - SP2 - Windows 7 32.
When looked into Server 1 - PVSS_II.log I have the following error message :
WinCC_OA (1), 2015.07.01 00:26:27.955, SYS, WARNING, 36/pmon, Blocking Manager PVSS00data(0) detected. No heartbeat since 30 seconds.

The only way to clear this problem is to proceed a complete system restart ( Server1 , Server 2 and workstations )
Please, can you guide me through what would be the reason PVSS00data goes into blocking state ?
Many Thanks,
Paulo Diniz

Hello,
if the data manager is in blocking state there is no need to restart the system immediately.
In most of the cases the situation will be gone after a short time, e.g. a few minutes. Only if the system does not recover from this situation you have to restart it.
As you are using a redundant system you have to check if the situation occurs on both servers.
The blocking state is reached if the alive counter in the shared memory for the process monitor was not increased within 30 seconds. E.g this can happen when doing large historical requests or a recovery in redundant systems.
Without detailed information we cannot see what the cause can be for the blocking state.
