Dear forum members,
I would like to recover backup archive data from a external HDD into my WinCC OA database (data older than a month which was stored via online-backup).
The backup data is in the form of single files looking as follows:
AR_0001_2014.12.18.-05.15.33
AR_0001_2014.12.18.-05.02.28
etc.
The approach I got from HTML help via deleting content of db-folder and following utilization of Restore.pnl does not work for me (it says OK but no data was moved to db-folder).
I also tried copying the respective needed files directly which did not work. Specifically I would like to recover data from December 15th so I copied the respective archive files from the backup HDD folder to the project db-folder. When trying to access the data, however, it was not to be found.
Any tipps to fix this problem?

Re: Recovery of Backup Archive Data
Hello,
if the files you want to import have been exisiting previously in the specific project you could try the following procedure:
-- configure the backup device for archive 1 at the configuration panels for the value archive (System Management --> Database --> Database configuration)
-- open the "Activity" for the archive with number 1
-- click at the "DIR"-button
Now you should see the archive files existing in the backup directory.
-- select the archive file you want to import
-- click at the button to move the files to the database directory
If the action was successful the files are shown in the list of files with the status "IMP".
