Can somebody please shed any light on this error I’m getting in my log file please ?
I’m getting a strange warning saying the time differs approximately 23 secs between S3-DC04.AEC.local (FQDN) and S3-DC04 (HOSTNAME) ? This is obviously the same server and this is where my WinCCOA (v3.10) projects are running so where is the issue coming from ?
We are a totally air gapped standalone network with no Internet access so I use a radio clock on one of my DC’s as a time source and use NTP to sync everything across the network. All clients PC’s and other servers appear to be within milliseconds of each other and I use a batch file on all my WinCCOA clients to run and test this daily for audit purposes. What am I doing wrong if this error is appearing ?
Copy from log file:-
PVSS00ctrl (0), 2014.09.08 13:33:32.365, SYS, WARNING, 184, The time on S3-DC04.AEC.local and S3-DC04 differs approximately 23 sec. Please correct this.
PVSS00data (0), 2014.09.08 13:33:32.429, SYS, INFO, 4, Connected to, (SYS: 1 Event -num 0 CONN: 1) @ S3-DC04.AEC.local (::ffff:127.0.0.1)
Any help greatly appreciated

Re: Time Sync Issue Between FQDN and Hostname ?
Hello,
normally this log-messages should not occur when all processes are running on the same host and only with these two log-entries we cannot find the cause for it.
For further analysis we would prefer to use the official address for support requests (http://support.automation.siemens.com), because we need more detailed information and some files.
-- config-file for this project
-- complete PVSS_II.log-file where a startup of the project and this "error" can be seen
Also please send us the shield-file used in this project.
After having a look at this information we will send you additional information.
