Hi,
We need to create an achitecture with 8 redundants servers and 15 client (heavy clients).
So, we want use the SSO functionality. But we have a question about that :
When the system is running , if the user changes and the windows session of the previous user is open, does he need to relog on Windows (close the Windows Session, so stop the wincc OA client, and open a new Windows session and the new WinCC OA runs), or a single WinCC OA relog does it all (no need to close the Windows session)
If close/re-open the Windows session is always needed when the user changes, it will take time before the WinCC OA runs again...Is it a SSO solution to reduce this operating loss.
Best regards

Re: SSO and Active Directry
With SSO the OS user is automatically logged in. But you can make something to only change the WinCC OA user without closing the windows session (in windows the same user stays logged in).
You can also use windows user administration without SSO.
