What is error 93?

Can anybody help me starting up applciom on my RedHat Enterprise 4.8 Linux 32bit no multiprocessing (no smp)?

It is surprisingly difficult to find any documentation for this on the internet. What I found is the header file apincl/defstat.h in this zip file, which looks like it lists error codes. It says

Thank you for this information. I got to know today, that this seems to be the reason, why PVSS00apc Driver has to be started as user root (superuser or Administrator on Linux System). Although Linux devices have been prepared according to PVSS help, RedHat Enterprise Linux 4 ES Revision 8 (v4.8) only allows PVSS00apc to run correctly, when started as root. This is a malfunction of PVSS! And some CTRL- Manager PVSS00ctrl, which tries to Access an Serial Interface acts accordingly. It will only start manually or by PVSS console, when this is done as logged in root user. So, it ETM's turn to comment this behaviour.

@Herr Lugbauer: was sagen Sie dazu. Das PVSS Projekt als Benutzer root zu starten ist aus unserer Sicht mehr als unangebracht. Haben Sie einen Workaround dafür. Wie verhält sich das Ganze unter PVSS V3.10/3.11 auf Windows 7? Ist das auch nur als Benutzer mit Admin-Rechten machbar?

Jetzt sehe ich gerade, dass Sie, Herr Pointner, ja ein ETM Mitarbeiter sind. Die Fehlermeldung produziert der PVSS00apc, und der ist Bestandteil von u.a. PVSS 3.6+SP2, das ich hier seit Jahren benutze. Ich habe schon diverse Male um Hilfe gebeten, doch wird die APPLICOM Lösung als einzige mit vielen verfügbaren Protokollen sehr stiefmütterlich behandelt von ETM. Warum?

Mit welchem Betriebssystemen wird denn in der V3.11 dieses APPLICOM Interface noch unterstützt?

Ich kann da leider nichts dazu sagen, da ich nichts mit Treibern zu tun habe, und auch nur wenig mit WinCC OA 3.x. Mit diesen Fragen sollten sie sich direkt an den ETM Support wenden.
