WinCC OA and S7-PLCSIM?

Any one aware if WinCC OA can communicate with the Siemens S7-PLCSIM?

Hello,

we do not have any experience with the software S7-PLCSIM.
It is planned to make tests with this toolkit in the future. When the tests will be done is not exactly defined right now.

That's a pity. We use it all the time in the development rather than actual S7 PLCs. I'm really surprised it hasn't come up yet as this is the way most SIs do it from my experience.

WinCC OA is able to communicate with PLC Sim. We use it and it works correctly.

No. It's the same. Give winCC OA the correct IP adress and parametrize the polling slower. You need a Siemens external module "NetToPLCSim" to make it work on the network.

Oh, I know about Net2PlcSim. It is not actually a Siemens product. Also I find it quite unstable when there is a lot of data going through. Seem to crash PLSSIM very often. Even with poll rate of 3 seconds. I was hoping WinCC OA can talk to PLCSIM directly...

We plan to support PLCSIM and PLCSIM Advanced with the new version WinCC OA 3.15 (end of this year).
