Show DPE alias in alarm screen

Post by olduser2343 »

Hi All,

Is it possible to show the DPE Alias instead of the DP Name in DP name column of the Alarm screen?

if yes, how?

Thank you in advance,

Ezio

Did you look in the online help -> system management -> Diagnostics -> Alert and event panel -> column configuration?

You can add a column with the value of wincc oa function 'dpGetAlias'.

Hello,

It is not possible to show the alias instead of the dp-name (if an alias is defined) in one column. You can add a new column for the alias.
To the show the alias at the AEScreen you have to perform the following steps:
-- open the panel for the system management
-- select the tab "Settings"
-- open the panel for the "A&E - Row/Screen" configuration
-- select the tab "Alerts"
-- add a new column
-- for "Value" select "WinCC OA functions" and the Function "dpGetAlias"
-- save the settings

At the AEScreen you have to add the new column to the list of visible columns. If an alias is defined for every dp-element (with an _alert_hdl-config) you can remove the column for the dp-name from the list of visible columns.

Thank you Gertjan and Leopold,

Yes I did, but unfortunately, nothing happened, the new column just didn't show up in the AE panel.

So I also tried to tried to modify the existing column, whose function was "dpGetDescription". I replaced it with "dpGetAlias", but again, nothing changed.

Looks like the modifications I do in Column Configuration utilities are not propagated to the runtime system.

Ciao,

Hello,

the problem at the customers project was that the new column was not added to the list of visible columns in the AEScreen.
After making this modification it worked properly.

Thanks Gentleman,

I added a new Column to the A&E screen, the last thing what isn't changed is the infopanel in the top(or bottom) of the screen. I changed tease columns also in the settings tab, but there isn't a A&E Row configuration under the Diagnose tab.

I have searched of the X-files Frenk, but it is a lang ago that I have received them. Is the a place where the can be downloaded? Maybe this is also useful for other people using the portal :)
