Calling OPC Client Method Through OPC UA Server Method Breaks System

Hello All,

We are currently using 3.18 p016 and trying to create an OPC UA server interface so any external program/system can access whole system through SCADA. However there is a critical bug. Here is the setup.

- Our project has OPC UA Server
- Also OPC UA Client connected to PLCS
- We use both OPC UA Server & Client Methods
- However if we try to call OPC UA Client method inside of OPC UA Server method, OPC UA Client literally breaks.
- It breaks in way that after we call OPC UA Client method inside of OPC UA Server method, same OPC UA Client method does not work, through OPC UA server method, UA Export, with normal dpSet etc
- We check that PLCs still getting the OPC UA Client method request, however we don't get any response after we call OPC UA Client method inside of OPC UA Server method
-Also when we call OPC UA Client method inside of OPC UA Server method, sometimes it works (just one time after client restart), sometimes it breaks the client from get go

So what is the solution? Except for restarting OPC UA Client manager nothing has worked so far and eve

From the description we cannot identify if the problem is related to the OPC UA Server or the client.
If we understood it correctly you are using the WinCC OA OPC UA Server and a 3rd party client.
When the problem is solved by restarting the OPC UA client it is possibly not a problem related to WinCC OA.
