Install WinCCOA on Debian Linux

Hello,

I have been trying to install WinCCOA on a virtual machine with Debian Linux 11 or Ubuntu 20, but I always get the same error with certain packages.


winccoa@debian-winccoa:~/Descargas/WinCC_OA_3.17_SIMATIC_Industrial_OS_2_P016$ sudo apt-get install ./*.deb
or
winccoa@debian-winccoa:~/Descargas/WinCC_OA_3.18_SIMATIC_Industrial_OS_2_P007$ sudo apt-get install -f ./WinCCOA-3.18.7-Base-debian.x86_64.deb
...
Los siguientes paquetes tienen dependencias incumplidas:
winccoa-3.18-base : Depende: libicu63 (>= 63.1-1~) pero no es instalable
Depende: libxcb-util0 (>= 0.3.8) pero no es instalable
E: No se pudieron corregir los problemas, usted ha retenido paquetes rotos.


Does anyone know if it is possible to install WinCCOA on a clean Debian based distribution installation ?
Or do que need to install some extra packages.

If you want to install WinCC OA please first have a look a the list of supported operating systems.
For WinCC OA 3.18 the following Linux distributions are supported:
Linux RedHat - Enterprise Linux 8 64bit (Build-Version: 8.4)
Oracle® Linux - Oracle® Linux 8.4 (Build-Version: 8.4)
SIMATIC Industrial OS - SIMATIC Industrial OS 2.2
Debian 10 - Debian 10 (Buster) Only supported within a Docker environment

By the way I consider Debian a very good choice in the Linux ecosystem.

SIMATIC Industrial OS 2.x is based on Debian 10, so on that version the installation might be possible.

I installed WinCCOA 3.18 on Debian 10 + XFCE and it worked correctly, very light and very fast.

Please take into account that Debian 10 is only supported in a Docker environment, see list of supported operating systems.
