Hello,
I have CPU 1517F-3 PN/DP with two Profinet interface X1 and X2.
X1 interface is used for work tecnological object and have 192.168.13.0 network, other X2 interface is not using for any connection (it is set to 192.168.0.0 network).
Can I establish connection between this CPU and WinCC OA v3.16 using S7 driver (to read some variables) setting X2 interface to 10.106.7.0 network preconditionaly (with helping CPU panel), or I should use S7plus driver instead?
Maybe for connection, I have to set necessary IP in hardware with TIA Portal?

Re: Connecting with S7 driver
According to the documentation the S7 and the S7PLus driver can be used to establish a connection to an S7-1500 device. There need to be done some specific configuration in the PLC/TIA Portal for the connection.
If this specific CPU can be connected I cannot answer.
For details please have a look at the WinCC OA Documentation.

Re: Connecting with S7 driver
Thank for your answer!
I have already connected this CPU with WinCC OA using S7 protocol by entering appropriate IP adress and allowing PUT/GET communication in the TIA Portal project.

Re: Connecting with S7 driver
For the driver it should not matter how the IP address is set. But you should be aware that the driver will not work anymore after a power cycle of the S7, because then it is back at 192.168.x.x. Depending on how your S7 is configured the IP address can be assigned with a commissioning tool or the hardware configuration has be modified.
