Patch 13 Issue - Redundant Peer Link

Hi,

We have upgraded from 3.17 Patch 9 to 3.17 Patch 13.
We are running RHEL 8.2 so it was also required to upgrade the OpenSSL version from 1.1.1c to 1.1.1g.

After the upgrade our redundant peer link continuosly drops out and tries to reconnect (WCCILsplit, WCCILredu, WCCILevent, WCCILdist as shown below)

We rolled back to Patch 9 and verified the redundant link is working without Patch 13 applied.

We applied Patch 13 to one of the servers and it successfully connects to the Patch 9 server without any issues.

However once we apply Patch 13 to the second server the redundant peer links don't work.

Is there something we need to do differently since Patch 9 to get redundant peer links working?

Normally there is nothing do for redundancy when upgrading to a new patch.
If the problem still persists please get in contact with your common WinCC OA support and add the log files (pmon.<hostname>, PVSS_II.log) to your support inquiry.

with patch 13 there is currently a problem with the redundant LAN connection, as the second network card cannot establish a connection.

If the first network does not fail, there is no impairment in operation with WinccOA.

If you are using Redu-Lan networks, please do not install the 013 patch.

Just to close out this thread this has been resolved in 3.17 Patch 14 (and 3.18 Patch 4)
