Hello,
I am facing a GEDI crash using WinCC OA 3.16 P0023 when it loads the preview of a panel.
I can reproduce doing the following :
1) create an empty project
1) From that project, create a panel with an embedded module inside (module.pnl)
2) create a panel with a TAB inside (tab.pnl), and call the module.pnl from the TAB object
3) close the panels
4) open panel in GEDI, and select the tab_panel
5) then it crashes
Here is the windows application error than I get for this crash :
Faulting application name: WCCOAui.exe, version: 3.16.0.0, time stamp: 0x5fa31abd
Faulting module name: Qt5Core.dll, version: 5.9.2.0, time stamp: 0x5ea6f0a5

Faulting package full name:
Faulting package-relative application ID:
I have joined the empty project.
This occurs on Patch 20 & 23. It does not on Patch 16
There is a workaround :
open the panel tree view, and click fast on the tab.pnl (fast enough for GEDI to not load the thumnails). Here the panel is opened, and GEDI do not crash

I have tested it and I can reproduce the problem.
The issue was forwarded to our development department.
Please take into account that the WinCC OA Portal must not be used to submit WinCC OA problems for the WinCC OA support.
If you want to report a WinCC OA problem please use your common WinCC OA support, e.g. the Siemens Industry Support Portal.

Ok, thanks for your investigation. This is noted for next time!
I wasn't sure it was an issue due to our configuration or wincc oa issue
Thank you
