Wincc OA 3.17 standard project Security Problem

Hello.

I try to make new standard project in Wincc OA 3.17.
I folow steps from Help - Project administration/ProjectAdministration/Create project.

After creation there is this warning SecurityProblem.jpg What is it about?

When I click accept, there is a login window, but I am not sure which User should I use. It is not pmon User, isn't it?

Hi,

This is normal behavior. You probably activated ssa when creating project. When using SSA, then ofc communication will be signed and you thus need to accept certificate. By default this is self signed certificate. So that's why you get this popup.

You can accept it and it will work fine.

Please note, that the SSA (server-side authentication) and other standard security features are activated per default when you create a standard project in 3.17! in this case the behavior you have is normal and not a problem. All this is explained in the WinCC OA documentation and the SIMATIC WinCC OA Security Guideline. You had confirmed that you have read the SIMATIC WinCC OA Security Guideline before creating the standard project ;-).

If you don´t need all these security stuffs, then please create a Legacy Standard project: A project without standard security features.
