Ascii Import failed

Post by johanningmann »

Hi,
I´m facing a problem by importing a para structure to one of our systems.

Ascii Manager returns: WCCOAascii1:doAsciiIn returned error code: -13

Has anyone an Idea what cause a returns of -13?

WinCC OA Help:
-13 Errors during DP check.

Version 3.16 P016

Kind regards

When using the ASCII manager panel for the import you will get 2 log files.
If you have a look at the files you will probably find additional information for the error code and log entries which describe the problem.

Hello Mr. Knipp,
I checked the Logfile and the only line which makes sense in this regards to me is:

WCCOAascii (1), 2020.08.03 13:26:11.819, IMPL, SEVERE, 54, Unexpected state, ElementTable, findNameLocation, Problem mit Typkontainer

Can you tell us more about the root cause for this line?
We did the import of such Ascii file pretty often and we never faced this kind of issue.

Kind regards

If you get this error there is possibly a problem with the database in your project.
You can try to modify the datapoint type in the PARA module to check if the problem occurs again.

If I do a modification manually via Para it works fine as expected. No idea why the ascii import fails.
Do you have an further ideas?

If the modification in the PARA module works you have maybe modified another datapoint type and not that one which caused the error during the ASCII import.
Are you sure that you have used the same DP type and did the same changes?
