WinCC OA 3.15 P18 OpenSuse Linux
In a redundant system value archives filesets are transferred at recovery time, if necessary. I have observed, that during file copying the destination folder for the archive filesets may temporarily contain more filesets than configured.
This may lead to overflow of the HDD and in consequence to interruption / failure of the redu recovery.
Do I need to take care reserving enough space for this action ? Or is this behavior subject of a patch ?

During the recovery (newer) database directories/files which are missing are copied to the starting WinCC OA project. This not only related to files in the Value Archive directories, it is made for all database directories.
If some directories/files must be deleted the deletion is made during startup when the Data Manager and/or the archive managers detect that this data is not needed any more.
If your system is low on disc space and a recovery can lead to an overflow of disc space you must check the complete configuration of your system to ensure that there is enough disc space left, also for normal operation.
