Automatic start of project when start console

Post by marcel.gay@wimag.ch »

when we start the console, the project doesn't start.
Is there a possibility that the project starts after the console is started without having to press the green traffic light with a mouse click (e.g. with an additional parameter)

Current link to console is:
C:\Siemens\Automation\WinCC_OA\3.16\bin\WCCOAui.exe -console

I know that there are differents possibilities to start WinCC-OA
1. As service is not possible
-> conflict with different user using OPC-DA from an other application
2. start with C:\Siemens\Automation\WinCC_OA\3.16\bin\WCCILpmon.exe -proj <projectname>
-> if visu crash it don't restart
3. If I start the console and then the application (by user) problems 1+2 don't appear
-> which is why I am looking for a solution here

the only good solution is WinCC OA as service. Simply start the service as the same user like OPC-DA.

only a service will shutdown your project correctly before shutdown/restart your server/pc

The Ui with the Console panel is just a view to the WCCILpmon. Starting/stopping the project and or WinCC OA processes is done by the WCCILpmon.
You have to start the WCCILpmon to start the project. As already mentioned the easiest solution is to use WinCC OA as service if you want to start the project automatically.
