Deleting Languages not used from Panels

Post by NilsHS »

Is there any way to delete not used languages from panels? I know only of the WCCOAtoolParse but there is no documentation on how to use this tool to remove languages.

To my specific problem: I have to do a rework of a project originally made with PVSS 3.0.1, which has been updated quite a few times. Now I am working with WinCC OA 3.16 P007. As we did not create the original nor did we have anything to do with the upgrading from 3.15 to 3.16 where the problems startet I think, I don't know how it was upgraded but I think there was no priority on converting the languages to utf8. They simply added a utf8 language and let all the others still in the panels.

My problem now is that I have at least 5 languages in panels where only one of those is UTF8 all the others are still ISO languages. The main project has only one language which is the utf8 language and I tried to convert all the panels to the utf8 format, now because of those old languages there are several different language entries for text fields and such. And because of this I get a lot of UTF8 errors in the log because of illegal bytes.

If someone could tell me if there is a chance to remove the old ISO languages from the panels it would be great.

When using 3.16 P017 you will find a docoumentation for WCCOAtoolParse.
Removing languages from the panels should be possible using this tool.
