Dear All ,
I am trying to connect to my project using Desktop UI ,It is working fine but,
My Project is located in a server which contains 2 Network cards , So I have 2 IPs for it while in the Desktop UI I have place for only one IP.
How can I grantee that my web client will keep the connection even after loosing one network connection.
My Best Regards
Desktop UI

Re: Desktop UI
The IP address you have defined is just for the connection to the web server.
When the connection is established and you have defined 2 network connections in the config file the UI will use the redundant network for the communication.

Re: Desktop UI
Please notice that I have 2 IPs for the same server , not a redundant server .
So if i lost one connection will the connection use the redundant network card on the same server or will disconnect ?

Re: Desktop UI
As written in my answer the UI will use the redundant network connection if it is defined in the config file.
When the redundant network is not defined in the config file the UI will not use both network connections for the connections to the server.

Re: Desktop UI
Perhaps with this explanation you will understand it better. The address that you enter in the connection settings is only to get the config file from the server. After the config file has been received it is used by the UI.

Re: Desktop UI
Thanks for your reply ,
I also want to ask about other drivers , BACnet , OPC DA/UA Client , Modbus , S7+ etc.
Will the connection stay stable if I lost one IP? Do I need to add any special entry to the config file ?
any concern about other divers like redundant , archives..etc.
at the end we will have 2 servers redundant and each server with 2 network cards.
but I need to know also the behavior of each server alone (with 2 IPs)

Re: Desktop UI
If the network device fails which is used for the connection to the PLC the driver will loose the connection to the PLC.
From a very basic view on the functionality for a driver or an archive manager it does not make a (big) difference if the server is redundant or not. There are some specialities in a redundant system but they can differ from manager to manager.
As your questions are not very specific giving an accurate answer is not possible.
For details concerning the drivers and redundancy please have a look at the WinCC OA Documentation.
Please take into account that NIC teaming is not support by WinCC OA.
