Profibus in WinCC OA

Hi Everyone,

From the help file of WinCC OA, it is mentioned that Profibus is supported. How we can add Profibus to a WinCC OA application? Is it already in the inbuilt feature or do we have to purchase seperate license for that?

Profibus is not supported.
Profinet and Profisafe are. Both need an additional license.

I would have a look at a Converter e.g. https://www.rtautomation.com/product/460mspbs/ and see if it works with Modbus driver.

Alternatively, you can use the SimaticNET OPC server and a Profibus card to read the data. WinCC OA would read data using OPC DA / UA
