BMS Application Features

Post by jiji.thankappan »

Hi Everyone,
Do we have any inbuilt library for BMS ?
Already we have inbuilt library for the graphics, but is there any inbuilt library for modern graphics and screens that can be used for BMS application? BIM Drawings and/or 3D graphics are supported in OA? Do we have any inteface for this?
Does M-Bus protocol is supported in WinCC_OA?

What does BMS stand for in this case?

A native M-Bus driver is not available in WinCC OA.
For a communication with the M-Bus you can possibly use a OPC communication if you have an OPC server for your application.

In this case BMS stands for Building Management System, do we have any inbuilt library for modern graphics, screens for BMS Projects? Does Building Information Modeling Drawings/ CAD Drawings are supported in OA?

There is no library available for symbols which are specific to building management systems.
Files in CAD format cannot be displayed in WinCC OA. You can possibly change the format to a file format supported for graphics in WinCC OA.

        Hi All,

As per the below reply, native M-Bus Driver is not available in WinCC OA. But if am trying to check M-Bus in WinCC OA then it showing Teleperm M Bus is supported. So can we use this driver in WinCC OA for M-Bus portocol Communication. In the help of WinCC OA, i cannot find any data regarding teleperm mbus

I searched the internet and for me it looks like "M-Bus" is the same like "Teleperm M".
"Teleperm M" is a name used by Siemens for a process visualization system using a CS-725 bus.
