Calculate timeout for dist and iec connections

Post by alaralum »

Hi,
1) I am not so sure which config entry and default values are used for setting the timeout on dist connections.
I understand the config entry "aliveTimeout" is the one used for dist connections, changing the connection to another server as "closed" after 10 seconds by default, but there is also a "aliveTimeout" on section iec61850.
2) Does it have to be always the same value for both type of connections, or is this possible to separate in two sections?

3) Is it also possible to modifyhow often the lifebeat is send to check the "alive" status?

The aliveTimeout for the WinCC OA manager connections is not the same as for the IEC 61850 driver.
For the manager aliveTimeout you cannot modify the interval when an alive message is send.

In the IEC 61850 driver section the aliveTimeout is used for the connection between the driver and the PLC. For the IEC driver you can define the alive interval.
