Patch P013 has been released on Tuesday for WinCC OA 3.16 and within its release notes I could find the following entry, which would seem to solve a previous issue I was facing (reported to Siemens in the SR 1-5596260916 in mid-July and still unanswered):
So I have tried it yesterday morning with the following results:55926/1-5504484465: A frame, styled with CSS-stylesheet, causes high
CPU load.
- Indeed the issue is not triggered anymore by just simply setting the "Border Style" property of a frame to "Styled".
- Unfortunately, it is enough to do that and then enable the panel layout management (regardless of the type) to trigger the issue.
So the issue is still there, now being triggered by having a styled frame within a panel with layout management. Disabling any of those (styled border or panel layout management) immediately releases the CPU and enabling both takes again one full logical core.
I send attached the same project I had created to report this issue. Now it has an extra panel that contains a styled frame and the "Layout Type" property of the panel set to "HBox". This panel triggers the high CPU load issue.
I have already notified this through the support request as well, but I thought about giving it a try here as well.
Thanks in advance,
Daniel
