Good morning,
I'd like to know if there is compatibility between WinCC OA and WAF (Web Application Firewall).
Thanks a lot
Best regards

Re: WinCC OA and WAF compatibility
WAF (Web Application Firewall) is just a method to protect a web application against attacks using the HTTP protocol.
Can you please describe your question more precise.

Re: WinCC OA and WAF compatibility
I try to explain it better.
To give an additional level of protection, WAF instances will be configured on which for each web page exposed to which controls the user will have access (buttons, textbox etc) to do so the IDs of the controls will be used.
The verification required is that WinCC OA not automatically generate these IDs dynamically because this would conflict with the waf configuration.
Thanks a lot

Re: WinCC OA and WAF compatibility
Why do you want to limit access to objects in WinCC OA using WAF?
What is the use case for using WAF?
