Is it possible to change the default ports of Archive Managers?
We can't find any config entry, datapoint or script where we can modify them.
We are using WinCC OA 3.16 P012.
Thank you

Re: Change Archive Managers default ports
Why do you want to modify the ports?
They are assigned automatically when starting the project.

Re: Change Archive Managers default ports
Our customer needs the architecture shown in the attached picture.
He wants the value archiving in a different PC from the project, but without using an ORACLE DB.
To achieve his request, we created two different projects, with the Archive Managers of each redundant project, but only one of them works, the other shows an error "Could not create the server socket on port = xxxx: No Error"

Re: Change Archive Managers default ports
The archive managers MUST run on the same machine like the Data- and Event-Manager.
It might be technically possible to start the archive managers on a remote machine but this solution is not supported.
Especially in redundant systems the archive managers must run on the server as the archive files need to be copied during the recovery.
It is strictly recommended to change the configuration and start the archive managers on the server.
